Personal introduction
My name is Daniel Belac, and I work at advantago as Head of Account Management – or, as I sometimes call it, the “bridge between customer needs and digital possibilities.” In my role, I’m responsible for strategic client management and lead an amazing team that ensures our clients are not only visible but successful every single day.
What drives me? Definitely the mix of technology, strategy, and – yes – a bit of chaos that can be tamed with a solid plan. I love turning complex challenges into simple, impactful solutions. And fun is a must. Who says online marketing has to be dead serious? A smile during a call, a light-hearted comment in the team chat – that’s what makes the difference. I truly believe that humour not only makes work easier but also better.
What I value most at advantago is the openness to new ideas and the chance to make a real impact. Here, it’s not just about what you do, but how you do it. And that’s exactly what makes the difference for me.
What do advantago's values mean for me?
At advantago, we live a culture built on openness, fairness, reliability, and the courage to embrace new ideas. These values are not just company principles for me – they are personal convictions.
Openness and fairness mean transparent communication, both internally and externally. I believe honest conversations, even about challenges, are the foundation of trust. Especially in account management, it’s essential that our clients know exactly where they stand with us. Fairness also shows in how we handle feedback: constructively, respectfully, and with a focus on solutions. And yes, sometimes that includes not taking ourselves too seriously.
Reliability is, for me, the cornerstone of any collaboration. In a constantly changing digital world, it’s even more important that our clients can rely on us – whether it’s for executing complex campaigns or maintaining their local presence. I see it as my responsibility to reaffirm that trust every day. And if something doesn’t go according to plan? What matters is how you handle it: with clarity, accountability, and an open ear.
Courage to try new things is the value that drives me most. advantago is a company that doesn’t settle for the status quo. We think ahead, experiment, and continuously evolve. This mindset allows me to bring in new ideas and work with my team to develop innovative solutions – whether in areas like “AI Overview” or creating data-driven advertising strategies. And sometimes, courage simply means taking the first step – even if you don’t yet know whether you’ll stumble or soar.
How do I embody these values in my everyday working life?
In my team, I actively try to live by these values. One example is our weekly team update. During these sessions, we don’t just discuss numbers and projects – there’s also space for personal insights and challenges.
This transparency strengthens collaboration and fosters a culture where everyone feels heard – even when someone says, “I’ve just got a mental block today.”

Reliability is most evident in client communication. A concrete example: in an international client project managing over 100 Google Business Profiles, we achieved high data quality and visibility through clear processes and regular coordination. The feedback was clear: “You’re not just a service provider for us – you’re part of our team.” Statements like this are both confirmation and motivation for me.
Our courage to embrace new ideas was recently demonstrated during the integration of “AI Overview” into our strategic consulting. Together with the product team, we developed approaches to help our clients benefit from AI-powered search results. At first, there was a lot of uncertainty – both internally and among clients. But through targeted training and pilot projects, we were able to build trust and create real added value. And yes, sometimes it was a bit of trial and error. But that’s part of innovation.
Of course, there are challenges: change doesn’t always spark enthusiasm right away. This is where it becomes clear how important it is not just to communicate values but to live them actively. Through patience, empathy, and clear communication, we were able to overcome many of these hurdles together. And when things don’t work out? Sometimes an honest “Okay, that didn’t work – let’s try again!” is exactly what’s needed.
Closing remarks
For the future at advantago, I hope we continue to live our values with the same consistency while staying open to fresh ideas. I firmly believe that our culture is the key to our success. And I’m convinced that humour, humanity, and integrity still have a place in a digital world.
What I’d like others to take away: values are not buzzwords. They’re what guide us in everyday life – especially when things get challenging. Those who take them seriously achieve not only better results but also build stronger relationships. And yes, even in local marketing, it’s okay to have a laugh.
To sum it up: at advantago, we work at the intersection of people and brands – and that’s where the most exciting stories are born. I look forward to helping write many more of them.
